Aboriginal Student Council

University of Alberta

About Us

Aboriginal Student Council (ASC) operates as both a Student Representative Association under the Students’ Union and under the umbrella of the Dean of Students. We seek to create a safe and inclusive space for self-identified Indigenous students to re-affirm and foster balance in spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional health through promotion of cultural, political, academic, athletic, and interpersonal interests.

Otôtêmiwêwin Program

Sign up today!

With most classes being online and gatherings being limited, it can be difficult to connect with other students, and to navigate the U of A campus as a newer student. Because of this, we have created the Otôtêmiwêwin Program (OP) to connect upper level Indigenous students with other lower level Indigenous students at the U of A. "Otôtêmiwêwin" is the Cree word for "friendship".
